The Ministry of Justice of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Access to Information, is committed to accountability to the citizens of the country, and is all the time, ready to provide information on the services it renders.

Citizens who seek information on the activities of this Ministry, may raise their questions through (Information Request Form) and submit it to the in charge of access to information, Media Relations Sub department of Publication Department Ministry of Justice.

Deadline for Providing Information

The Outreach Manager is obliged to promptly provide the Requested Information to you within ten days, this period may be extended to ten more days based on cogent reasons. The Outreach Manager will not give you the personal information of individuals that includes (Name, Last Name, Residence Address, Duty Station, Personal and Domestic Living Status , Medical Documents, Notations, Correspondences, Transactions, Bank Account, Password and other information not related to his/her official duties). Presenting information to the media and journalists for the purpose of immunity of individuals and life safety or freedom of person, does not fall under this provision.

Prohibitions

Provision of the following information is prohibited:

  1. Provided that imperils the independence, national sovereignty, territorial integrity and public security;
  2. Provided that causes disruption to the diplomatic, economic and cultural relationships of Afghanistan with other countries;
  3. Provided that imperils the life and property of person;
  4. Provided that hinders crime detection or prevention of committing crime;
  5. Provided that disturbs the detection, investigation or prosecution of the accused or the procedures or precautionary measures in this regard;
  6. Provided that disturbs the fair trial proceedings or enforcement of the verdict;
  7. Provided that violates the privacy of a person;
  8. Provided that the information is related to commercial, personal properties and bank accounts.
