The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) is saddened by the death of H.E. Minister of Justice Habibullah Ghalib, and wishes to express its sincere and deepest condolences and sympathies to you, the Government and the Afghan people, and especially to his family.
Late Minister Ghalib was one of the most experienced lawyers of Afghansitan and provided valued legal services over his long career. He was a good colleague and friend of the UN rule of law unit, agencies and promgrammes . After his appoinment as Justice Minister, he played a critical role in scrutinizing and codifying Afghan laws. His death is a great loss to the society of the Afghan lawyers and legislative drafters.
The UN family joins the Government and people of Afghanistan in mourning the loss of H.E Minister Habibullah Ghalib. May his family members and friends find strength during this time of sorrow , and my he rest in peace.
