Minister of Public Health and the delegation accompanying her met with the Minister of Justice of the country on Tuesday February 01, 2011. The meeting focused on drafting regulation related to private hospitals and clinics in the country.
In this meeting, both sides exchanged ideas about hospitals taking extra money as fees and talked about improving the quality of services, standard of health services, monitoring the improvement and standardization of health services and private hospitals and clinics fees. As a result they decided that each hospital and clinic should set a fee according to their facilities and quality of their services and prepare a chart for their services they provide with the fixed fee and post the chart where clients can easily see them in order to prevent taking extra money and the monitoring and controlling will become more easy.
At the end, it was decided that all the above mentioned issues should be prepared by the Ministry of Public Health in a regulation and then it shall be sent to the Ministry of Justice for scrutiny so that the Ministry of Justice can arrange the regulation observing the high legal standards and legislative methods and techniques.
