Ministry of Justice holds seminar, “The Legislative System of Afghanistan and its Current Challenges”.

This large-scale Conference was held in September and involved representatives from nearly all of the governmental departments and international partners who are taking part in drafting, enacting and ultimately implementing new laws. The Conference also highlighted and discussed the new and important role of Parliament in the legislative process – something that is being contemplated for the first time in Afghanistan. The Conference served as a starting point to begin dialogue and cooperation among the key governmental bodies directly involved in the legislative process and stressed the need for cooperation in forming the legislative agenda.
