The Second meeting of the High Commission on Combat Against Crimes of Abduction and Human Trafficking held under the chairmanship of His Excellency, Sayed Mohammad Hashimi, Deputy Minister (Admin.) of the Ministry of Justice of the Islamic Republic of Afg

His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Justice scrutinized and reviewed the outcomes/results of the decisions of the meeting of the previous commission on combat against crimes of abduction and human trafficking, and discussed over some parts of the results.

The secretary of the Commission on Combat Against Crimes of Abduction and Human Trafficking elaborated about the report on the measures/actions taken over the previous meeting and put the following issues before the commission for discussion:

  • Decisions taken in the previous meeting of the High Commission of Combat against Crimes of Abduction and Human-trafficking;
  • Presentation on the activities/tasks accomplished and the achievements of the commission;
  • Timely reports on performances of the provincial committees of the Combat Against Crimes of Abduction and Human Trafficking to the secretariat of the commission and prioritizing of matters relevant to the human trafficking;
  • Establishment of a joint technical committee with governmental and non-governmental agencies in order to consolidate issues relevant to awareness on crimes of abduction and human trafficking;
  • Strengthening and assist the support centers for the victims of human trafficking;
  • Annual report of the US State Department on the human trafficking in Afghanistan;
  • Providing information to foreign sources on combat against human trafficking.

In this meeting, those agencies, who had not yet sent their reports, were requested to dispatch their reports to the secretariat of the commission.

His Excellency, the Deputy Minister of Justice, after having detailed discussions with the members of the High Commission on Combat Against Abduction and Human Trafficking, on the basis of their opinion, concluded that: “The High Commission on Combat Against Abduction and Human Trafficking should hold meetings in every  three months.

The Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Interior Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Refugee and Repatriates Affairs, Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Pilgrimage and Endowment (Haj wa Auqaaf), Ministry of Information and Culture, Public Prosecutor Office, National Security Department, Independent Commission of Human Rights, Independent Society of Advocates of Afghanistan and the Women Network, are members of this commission.
