Ministries of Justice Of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and Ministry of Education of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding for elimination of illiteracy in the country.

 This Memorandum was signed on Monday ( 25 Assad) for eradication of illiteracy  by  His Excellency  Dr. Abdul Basir  Anwar and His Excellency  Assadullah. Hanif  Balkhi Minister of Education.

His Excellency Dr.Abdul Basir Anwar Minister of Justice of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan said: based on this memorandum of understanding the opportunity for learning laws shall be provided in schools, so that the children may become familiar with the laws of the country and in this way the society is guided towards lawfulness.

His Excellency Dr. Abdul Basir Anwar the Minister of justice of Islamic republic of Afghanistan mentioning that having no knowledge of law is no excuse ,adding that  based on the MoU efforts are made to eliminate illiteracy and in case citizens  being  literate may study and understand laws of the country.

 His Excellency Dr. Abdul Basir Anwar Minister of Justice of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan also cooperates with ministry of Education in the area of learning of children who are under custody in juvenile correction centers so that they also acquire literacy.

His Excellency Assadullh Hanif Balkh the Minister of Education of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan also regarded  the objective of the MoU   as  literacy elimination   oriented in the country ,the Minister of Education added:  As the illiteracy has had  become more wide spread during the past three decades of war, the Government of Afghanistan attempts to promote  literacy level  and according to him based on this MoU  campaigns, workshops  and joint literacy courses  shall be conducted in different parts of the country and for financing these programs financial support  shall be sought .
