H.E. Dr. Abdul Basir Anwar- Minister of Justice of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan held a meeting with Michael Hartmann- UNAMA, Rule of Law Unit Head.

H.E. Minister of Justice stated that they would exert efforts to align legislative processing in Afghanistan with the global standards so that the laws are drafted in the accurate possible way.

H.E. Minister of Justice underlined the importance of legislation and considered adaption of relevant measures as the most essential needs of unity of government. He added that for this purpose, they, in the current year, conducted a training in the ministry of justice under the theme of legislative stage program.

H.E. referred to the importance of this program and added that they have created this program on the basis of commitments of international donor agencies for justice sectors. On the other hand, he articulated that they would provide fund for this program from State budget or even out of his personal remunerations unless the donor agencies act upon their promise.

The same way, Mr. Hartmann said, it is possible that they provide some of the required materials of this program and promised to ask international agencies partner with justice sector in Afghanistan to support this program.

This meeting took place on 11^th of Jawza 1395 on the modality to improve justice system of the country.
