Consultative Meeting on Codification of New Strategy for Public Legal Awareness

The Directorate General of Legal Aid of Ministry of Justice of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, held a two-day consultative session to codify the new strategy for public legal awareness, in cooperation with the Justice Sector Support Program (JSSP).  

The purpose of this meeting has been to share the new strategy of legal awareness with the relevant departments and institutions, so that their suggestions and opinions could be collected and included in the strategy.

The representatives of the Supreme Court, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Women Affairs, the United Nations Development Program UNDP), International Organization of Development of Law (IDLO), Human Rights and other relevant institutions, participated in this session.

At the beginning, the Director General of the Legal Aid of the Ministry of Justice, talked on the issue and requested the participants to carefully review the National Strategy of Public Awareness, and share their views and suggestion to finalize this strategy.

In this session, the New National Strategy of Legal Public Awareness was carefully reviewed and the participants expressed their opinions and suggestions for further enrichment of the strategy.
