His Excellency Dr. Abdul Baseer Anwar, Minister of Justice of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Meets the Head of Rule of Law and Accompanying Delegation of UNAMA in Afghanistan.

This meeting was held in order to outline a law on electronic signatures and Transactions.

The Justice Minister elaborated on the current situation and in connection existing problems and said: "The draft which was sent by the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications has many problems, so we ask the UNAMA office to assist the Taqnin Department in provision of a comprehensive text in order to develop a comprehensive, accurate and effective law.

The Rule of Law head of the UNAMA office emphasized the importance of this document, saying that this law will help Afghanistan to conduct electronic transactions audit. They also added that UNAMA office is trying to help the Ministry of Justice through an international expert in this field.

The UNAMA Rule of Law Head expressed happiness in relation with the publication of the Penal Code and deemed it as a major achievement for Afghanistan towards ensuring  justice and stability, and wished to be passed by the National Assembly.

At the end, the Minister of Justice mentioned the conduction of a training program in coming days on Criminal Code, which intends to train the judges, prosecutors and Ministry of Justice personnel and other relevant institutions.
