H.E Dr. Abdul Basir Anwar-Minister of Justice of GoIRA Presides the Board Meeting of AA2J

This meeting was held on 24^th Qaws 1395 to discuss the achievements made so far by AA2J, Clarifications and approval of changes in AWP 2016 and also the approval of AWP for the year 2017.
H.E Minister of Justice talked about the importance of discussions on achievements, challenges and the ways to get rid of the existing problems for the betterment of performances. He added that If we fail to assess and evaluate the previous activities, we would undoubtedly face with problems to successfully draft plans for the next year.
He cordially thanked UNDP for its assistance with MoJ in different areas and added that this Institution needs different international donor agencies to provide it with technical and financial assistance so that this Ministry is capable of carrying out its reformative plans and achieving its goals.
Also, the Minister of Justice asked UNDP for conducting in-service capacity building trainings for MoJ staff and provide educational opportunities in Bachelor as well as Master's Degree levels for the mentioned employees.
Likewise, Mr. Douglas Keh - Country Director of UNDP talked on the above issues and assured of provision of cooperation of this Program with different Afghan Justice Institutions, particularly the Ministry of Justice.
In this meeting, the achievements of AA2J were discussed from national perspective, and the achievements of 2016 were presented on the basis of each output.
At the end, the changes to AWP 2016 & AWP 2017 were further discussed for approval and finally got approved as per the recommendations of participants of this meeting.
