Ministry of Justice in Cooperation with United Nations Development Program marked the International Human Rights Day at Information Center of Afghanistan, Kabul University

In  this conference  Sayed Mohammad Hashmi  Admin Deputy  Minister of Ministry of Justice,  Douglas Keh Country Director  of UNDP , Lal Gul  Lal the Director of  Human Rights Organization of Afghanistan and some lecturers  and  students of Kabul  university participated .

Sayed  Mohammad   Hashemi  Admin  Deputy Minister  of Ministry of Justice  said : In  order to  realize the values set forth in  international conventions of human rights the  Islamic Republic of Afghanistan  has attempted to  provide  all practical opportunities  for observation of human rights through establishment of  human rights  structures  such as  Independent  Human  Rights  Commission ,  Human Rights Support Unit, Supporting Civil  Organizations  and coordination of  legislative documents  with  Human  rights  principals  and  standards.

 Meanwhil,  Douglas Keh the Country Director of UNDP in Afghanistan emphasized  on equality of women and men rights and protecting human values. Moreover, Lal Gul Lal  the director of  human rights organization  of Afghanistan  who also  delivered his speech in this conference, added that  International Community and the Afghanistan Government intensify their steps  for addressing war criminals to trial and asked that the justice sectors to make  more efforts in this regard.

At the end, a female victim of social violence narrated her effort and achievements in her personal life and called for much more work in this respect.

This conference was concluded through performing a show by Kabul university theater group and opening of an exhibition on this occasion.
