The prisons working group meeting was held

On March 1, 2011the prisons working group meeting was held in MOJ with the chairmanship of the MOJ technical Deputy Qanonpo Dr. Mohammad Qasem Hashemzai and participation of representatives from General Department of Prisons, Ministry of Public Health, Prisons Support office (CSSP), European Union, ICRC, INL, the European Union Justice Reform Program, UNAMA and UNODC.
At the beginning, the previous meeting agenda (the equipments needed for the newly built prisons in Kunar, Daikundi and Samangan, provision of health services in prisons, arranging a meeting between the Minister of Justice and Minister of Public Health to review the signed medical assistance agreement, lack of JRCs for females in some of the provinces and etc) were briefly recapped.
After wards, the group talked about the needs of Industrial enterprises Department. (Those prisons that do not have place for production and even do not have productive activities, prisons that have  government building facilities but do not have productive activities, prisons that have partial activities but do not have appropriate place for production, prisons that have activities but do not have appropriate place for it, the prisons that have been newly built and have specified place for vocational activities but there is a crucial need for working tools , state buildings should be constructed for those prisons that are located in rental houses and beside constructing buildings it would enable us to build governmental industrial shops equipped with machines and production plants  and those prisons that are located in state buildings and somehow have productive activities need production tools.) After the discussion of the aforesaid issue the group members were asked to call on their decisions in the forthcoming meeting.
