The Minister’s Council meeting was chaired by President Hamid Karzai in Gulkhana Palace.
Based on information from Office of Administrative Affairs and Secretariat of Ministers’ Council to the Bakhtar News Agency, the draft regulation of the procedure on registration of Political Parties was brought up in the meeting by Minister of Justice Habibullah Ghaleb. This draft was prepared into 3 chapters and 18 articles based on paragraph 2 of article 8 of political parties’ law for the purpose of regulating the affairs of establishing and registration political parties and after confirmation of laws’ committee, it was forwarded to Ministers’ Council for approval.
Ministers’ Council approved the regulation on procedure of establishing and registration political parties and decided that paragraph 3 of article 7 on having at least high school degree should be removed. As decided in the meeting, Ministry of Justice will modify the draft.
