DM Hashimzai Visits Bagram Detention and Justice Center

The Technical Deputy Minister of MoJ Dr. Mohammad Qasem Hashimzai, accompanied by a team of high official delegations on Tuesday March 8, 2011 visited Bagram detention center in Parwan province. The detention center has recently been built in three blocks each consist of 12 rooms by the financial support of the US Defense Ministry with the cost of exceeding $US1 million. There are 79 professional and administrative staff recruited in detention center by the National Directorate of Security (NDS), Ministry of Interior (MoI), Attorney General Office (AGO), Supreme Court (SC) and MoJ and still need (55) more staff to deal with (500) cases in Parwan detention center. Moreover, the MoJ Technical Deputy Minister promised that he shall take steps for recruiting legal aid providers according to the detention centre needs.
