Since Afghanistan has signed and joined the “Convention on the Rights of Child” it should report the enforcement and application of this Convention to UN-Child Right Commission. To fulfill it, based on order issued by President Office a delegation consist of the following authorities (Wasel Noor Mohmand, Deputy Minister of Work & Social Affairs Ministry; Dr. Nadera Hayat, Deputy Minister of Public Health; Professor Sayada Mizhgan Mustafawi, Deputy Minister of Women Affairs Ministry; Adviser for Minister of Education; and representatives from Ministry of Foreign Affairs; under chairmanship of Professor Dr. Mohammad Qasim Hashimzai, Technical Deputy Minister of Justice Ministry) was assigned for this mission and this delegation left the country for a five-day trip to Geneva (capital of Swiss) on 12 Jan 2011. The delegation attended the meeting of UN-Legal Commission and besides presenting reports on enforcement and application of Child Convention in Afghanistan answered the questions asked by the Commission during four hours discussion. Finally the Commission reviewed the report and it should be mentioned that the mentioned Commission will continue its discussion with the delegation regarding the reports and their answers and then they would express their views in this regard.
